16 Best Janna Skins Ranked: Sacred Sword Leads

Sacred Sword wins for its koi-and-blossom fantasy, while Forecast offers the bigger personality change. Here is how all 16 Janna skins compare.

Janna with long white hair and flowing white cloth holding a glowing blue staff amid swirling wind
    Riot Games

Sacred Sword Janna brings a koi to a sword fight. Forecast brings a microphone and an umbrella that has already lost its fight with the weather. Those two details capture the choice at the top of Janna’s wardrobe: make her wind magic more beautiful, or give the person casting it a completely different job.

Sacred Sword is our favorite Janna skin. Its water, blossoms, and floating blade give her a coherent fantasy that goes beyond a dress change. Forecast is the stronger choice if you want a new personality rather than another magical costume, with broadcaster animations and weather-report voice-over. Bewitching takes third for a Halloween theme carried through spells, a companion, and a particularly good recall idea.

The ranking covers all 16 non-default standalone skins in Riot’s current Janna catalog, checked September 5, 2026. Prestige Cyber Halo has its own entry; chromas do not. The order reflects our judgment of the designs and documented cosmetic features, not their rarity. Any RP figures below are dated announcement or release references, not verified current shop offers.

    1. Sacred Sword Janna

Sacred Sword Janna in flowing pink and white robes beside a floating blade and koi in a pond
A floating sword and koi make Sacred Sword’s quiet pond scene instantly recognizable. Artwork: Riot Games.

The sword is the clever part. Janna already carries her weapon as though gravity is somebody else’s problem, so replacing the staff with a floating blade suits her without needing a joke or a bulky costume. The pink robes and long ribbons reinforce that lightness. There is plenty of detail, but the koi and sword give the design two things to remember.

Riot LoveStrut’s original PBE description documented water, wind, and peach-blossom effects, new sounds, animation work, and the koi companion. That is why Sacred Sword takes first: the setting in the illustration has a corresponding theme in the spell package. It is not merely a lovely loading screen attached to an unrelated set of abilities.

Heavenscale is the closer alternative if you prefer ornate dragon imagery. Sacred Sword gets our vote because the water-and-blossom treatment has a gentler focus; its appeal does not depend on adding more gold. Riot’s September 2017 launch announcement listed it at 1,350 RP, a useful historical reference when comparing offers today.

    2. Forecast Janna

Forecast Janna wearing glasses and a blue blazer, holding a microphone and an upturned umbrella in a rainstorm
Forecast puts Janna on storm-reporting duty with a microphone and an uncooperative umbrella. Artwork: Riot Games.

Forecast commits to the joke. The office clothes, microphone, and ruined umbrella turn a wind spirit into the reporter who volunteered for the worst outside broadcast of the week. It is a bigger personality change than any of the gowns below it.

That change also has substance in-game. Riot Wenceslaus’s 2013 announcement, preserved by NERFPLZ, specified broadcaster-inspired animations and a new voice-over built around forecasts and meteorological language. It also described a radar-map shield and a cloud companion for Zephyr. Forecast later received a full VFX overhaul in patch 12.19, so the oldest preview footage is not a complete picture of its effects now.

The decision is whether you want to keep hearing the bit. A fantasy outfit can fade into the background; a character built around weather reporting is more insistent. Listen to a current voice preview before choosing it. If the humor lands for you, there is a good argument for putting Forecast first. Sacred Sword wins our ranking because its theme is less dependent on enjoying one running joke.

    3. Bewitching Janna

Bewitching Janna in a pointed black hat and glasses holding a pumpkin-topped staff beside a pumpkin cat under a full moon
The pumpkin cat gives Bewitching a second character to carry its Halloween theme. Artwork: Riot Games.

A witch costume would have been enough to make sense on Janna. The pumpkin cat makes this one worth remembering. It gives her a mischievous partner rather than another elegant bird, and the glasses keep the outfit playful instead of turning it into generic dark sorcery.

The recall is the best reason to look beyond the splash. In Nurse Flan’s October 2018 PBE post, Janna scolds her broom before flying off on it. The same post documented new spell visuals and sounds, with ghosts, the pumpkin cat, and a full moon among the effects. Its announced price was 1,350 RP.

This is our pick over Star Guardian when you want a companion-led skin with a little attitude. Forecast still offers the bigger character reinvention, but Bewitching gets a lot of personality from a short scene and a ridiculous pet. The holiday costume is also the drawback: if pumpkins look out of place to you in February, choose a theme you want to use year-round.

    4. Heavenscale Janna

Heavenscale Janna in green and gold with red ribbons reaching toward a coiling dragon
Green-and-gold ornaments and a nearby dragon give Heavenscale a more ceremonial look than Sacred Sword. Artwork: Riot Games.

Heavenscale is the extravagant option. The gold ornamentation, green accents, red ribbons, and dragon make Sacred Sword’s pond look almost restrained. Choose between those two on that distinction: a private garden scene versus a grand celestial celebration.

Riot’s January 2024 PBE post confirmed custom models, textures, effects, sounds, and recall. Its follow-up specifically addressed the hair and ribbons’ movement and made the tattoos more visible. Those are useful details for a skin whose appeal depends so heavily on a flowing, decorated silhouette.

Fourth place is a preference for the tighter ideas above it, not a reason to dismiss Heavenscale. If Sacred Sword looks too delicate and you want your Janna to dress like an important mythological figure, start here. Check the moving model in a preview: the ribbons and ornamentation should be part of what you enjoy, not details you tolerate for the dragon in the splash.

    5. Star Guardian Janna

Star Guardian Janna with purple hair and a gold star staff floating beside a white and purple bird among stars
Purple fabric, gold stars, and a small winged companion place Janna firmly in the magical-girl team. Artwork: Riot Games.

Star Guardian is an easy theme to understand at a glance: purple hair, gold stars, a short uniform, and a small companion. Janna looks like a member of a team rather than a solitary goddess. That distinction matters if you like the shared Star Guardian look and want it across several champions.

Nurse Flan’s September 2016 announcement listed a new model and pet, themed visuals and sounds, and a new star-filled recall, with a proposed 1,350 RP price. There is enough cosmetic work behind the uniform to justify considering it alongside the later fantasy skins.

It loses to Bewitching because the pumpkin cat and broom scene give that skin a more individual joke. Star Guardian’s strength is belonging to an established aesthetic. If the uniforms and companions are exactly what you collect, that is a perfectly good reason to reverse the two.

    6. Crystal Rose Janna

Crystal Rose Janna with blue hair and a white and blue floral dress holding a crystal rose staff beneath pale arches
Layered petals and a crystal rose staff make this Janna look dressed for a formal garden party. Artwork: Riot Games.

Crystal Rose is the prettiest straightforward dress-up option here. The petals do the work that armor does in Battle Queen: they give the outfit layers and a recognizable shape. The blue-and-white palette keeps the rose motif from becoming another pink costume.

The floral treatment reaches the abilities you use to protect teammates. Riot’s 2022 PBE follow-up added sparkles and rose petals to Eye of the Storm and Monsoon. The original post also confirmed new visuals, sounds, and recall, and announced 1,350 RP.

That makes Crystal Rose a sensible choice if you care more about themed shields and healing than a different personality. Sacred Sword gets more mileage from its blade and koi, while Crystal Rose is content to be floral and elegant.

    7. Battle Queen Janna

Battle Queen Janna with a pink ponytail, green jewels and gold armor floating above a city with a flower-shaped staff
Green jewels and gold fittings give Battle Queen’s layered gown a more regal finish. Artwork: Riot Games.

For a skin called Battle Queen, this is surprisingly close to a fairy-tale court outfit. The flower-like staff head, pink ponytail, green jewels, and layered skirt matter more to the design than any suggestion of heavy armor. That is attractive, but it is worth knowing which promise the costume actually delivers.

Riot KateyKhaos’s November 2020 PBE announcement documented the full model, effects, sounds, and recall package at an announced 1,350 RP. You are choosing a themed spell treatment as well as the dress.

Battle Queen is the alternative to Crystal Rose when flowers alone feel too soft and you want more jewelry and metalwork. We place it lower because the name suggests a tougher reinvention than the design provides. For the player who wants a regal Janna without abandoning the flowing gown, that same compromise is its appeal.

    8. Cyber Halo Janna

Cyber Halo Janna in black and gold mechanical gear and an orange visor flying amid drones above a futuristic city
The visor and mechanical flight gear move Janna from fantasy robes into a science-fiction battle. Artwork: Riot Games.

Cyber Halo is the best break from Janna’s procession of magical dresses. The visor, dark suit, and mechanical flight gear make a clear attempt to explain a floating staff-wielder through technology. There is still plenty of gold, but here it frames machinery rather than a royal costume.

Riot’s August 2022 developer thread confirmed custom models, visual and sound effects, and recall. The regular skin beats its Prestige version for us because it has the stronger science-fiction identity. If the machine suit is the reason you opened the preview, the fashion-focused alternative below is not automatically an upgrade.

    9. Prestige Cyber Halo Janna

Prestige Cyber Halo Janna with silver hair and a black, white and gold outfit holding a crystalline staff above a city at sunset
Prestige trades the regular skin’s military styling for a black-and-white fashion silhouette and crystalline details. Artwork: Riot Games.

Prestige Cyber Halo changes the emphasis from pilot to fashion model. The monochrome outfit, long gloves, and crystalline accessories make it more dressed-up and less obviously mechanical. It may be the version you prefer, but the reason should be that design, not the longer name.

Riot’s separate Prestige feedback post documented new models and visuals, including an adjustment to make the passive effect shinier. That supports treating it as its own cosmetic choice. It does not support expecting Forecast-style new voice-over or an entirely new performance.

Acquisition needs a separate check. Riot listed Prestige Cyber Halo in the Mythic Shop in patch 25.05, in March 2025. That is evidence of a past return, not a promise that it is in your shop today. Check the current offer before buying currency for it. There is only one standalone Prestige Cyber Halo version in the catalog used for this ranking; a chroma is not another Prestige edition.

    10. Guardian of the Sands Janna

Guardian of the Sands Janna on the right in gold and black with a green staff, beside Rengar in front and Ryze on the left
Janna occupies the right side of this shared illustration, with Rengar in front and Ryze to the left. Artwork: Riot Games.

Janna is easy to overlook in her own shared splash: she stands on the right while Rengar gets most of the foreground. Look past him and the gold-and-black headdress and bright green staff make a strong desert-magic outfit. It is more severe than Crystal Rose and less armored than Cyber Halo.

Riot updated its tornado and Q impact and added new healing visuals to Monsoon in patch 12.19. This is a worthwhile owned-skin option for someone who likes the headdress and desert setting. It sits below the more distinctive companion-led designs because the costume is the strongest reason to choose it, rather than an unusually memorable character idea.

    11. Frost Queen Janna

Frost Queen Janna with pale blue hair, an icy crown and crystalline armor holding a frozen staff in a snowstorm
Sharp ice shapes give Frost Queen a colder, more severe look than Janna’s floral skins. Artwork: Riot Games.

Frost Queen uses sharp edges where most Janna skins use ribbons and petals. The crown, ice-like shoulder pieces, and frozen staff make a recognizable winter monarch without needing an elaborate new occupation or companion.

It received a complete VFX overhaul in patch 12.19, so use a post-update preview to compare it with the newer options. Choose it over Crystal Rose if you like blue and white but want the result to look cold rather than festive. The narrower theme keeps it below the top picks, yet it offers a distinct mood within a collection that leans heavily toward warm, decorative fantasy.

    12. Hextech Janna

Hextech Janna wearing goggles and a brown corset over a white blouse, holding a mechanical staff in an industrial city
Goggles, belts, and a wired staff give Hextech a workshop-built look. Artwork: Riot Games.

Hextech is the more handmade answer to Cyber Halo. Goggles and a corseted work outfit replace the visor and flight suit; the staff looks assembled from metal fittings around a power source. That difference is enough to give it a place in Janna’s wardrobe even if you already like her newer technology skin.

Riot gave Hextech a full VFX overhaul in 2022. Its appeal is scruffier and more mechanical than the name alone might suggest. If the goggles are what you like, Cyber Halo’s polished hardware may be the wrong substitute. Also check this exact Janna skin in the client rather than assuming every skin called Hextech has the same acquisition rules.

    13. Dawnbringer Janna

Dawnbringer Janna with blue hair, a spiked blue and gold crown and glowing eyes beside a bright blue staff orb
Dawnbringer emphasizes Janna’s divine side with gold armor, a blue crown, and luminous eyes. Artwork: Riot Games.

Dawnbringer looks powerful, but it also returns to familiar Janna territory: pale hair, blue light, a staff, and divine wind magic. The crown and gold armor make her grander without giving her as distinct a new identity as a reporter, witch, or sword spirit. That is why the newest entry lands this low, not because a pass reward must be inferior.

The original unlock is easy to misread. Riot’s Spirit Blossom Beyond: Act 2 guide placed Dawnbringer Janna at milestone 40 of the paid 2025 pass. The pass cost 1,650 RP; that was not an individual skin price. Its progression period ended in August 2025, so those instructions are historical, not a way to earn it now.

If it is already in your collection and you prefer a more imposing wind goddess to Janna’s playful costumes, give it a place in your rotation. Its blue-and-gold crown makes more sense for that mood than Sacred Sword’s pink robes or Bewitching’s glasses.

    14. Victorious Janna

Victorious Janna in teal and engraved plate armor holding a blue crystalline staff among rubble and banners
Plate armor and banners give Victorious a battlefield identity instead of a floating-court fantasy. Artwork: Riot Games.

Victorious has a convincing armored silhouette. The metalwork gives Janna more weight and makes the title feel earned in a way Battle Queen’s gown does not. It received a full VFX overhaul in 2022, too, so its appearance in an old screenshot should not be your final reference.

The important distinction is ownership history. Riot’s Season Two announcement awarded it for Gold or higher in 2012. A current ranked reward requirement is not a retroactive route to that skin. For an owner who wants a serious-looking option, Victorious still has a purpose, even if the armor cannot compete with the more imaginative identities at the top of this list.

    15. Fnatic Janna

Fnatic Janna at the center of a shared team illustration beneath a gold Fnatic emblem, surrounded by her teammates
Janna stands in the middle of the Fnatic lineup under the team’s gold emblem. Artwork: Riot Games.

Fnatic is a team tribute first. The black-and-gold clothing and shared lineup matter most if you like the organization or early League esports. Riot’s 2014 PBE introduction described the set as honoring the first season’s champions.

There is a useful effect distinction: patch 12.19 listed Fnatic as using the base VFX treatment with its own W. The team outfit is less interesting to us than Hextech’s workshop styling or Forecast’s reporter costume. It can still be the obvious choice for a Fnatic fan. Outside that attachment, the skins above offer stronger reasons to select Janna specifically, rather than the badge she represents.

    16. Tempest Janna

Tempest Janna in a dark crown and armor with long silver hair holding a black staff amid blue lightning
Dark armor and blue lightning make Tempest the sternest version of Janna’s original storm theme. Artwork: Riot Games.

Tempest gives Janna a darker crown, armor, and a more threatening storm scene. The idea is direct, and it remains useful if you dislike the flowers and party dresses that dominate much of her catalog.

Be careful about what that lightning-filled illustration promises. Riot’s 2022 update lists Tempest as sharing the base skin’s effects treatment. It benefited from the base refresh; it did not gain a separate bespoke lightning-spell package in that update. That limited reinvention puts it last. Choose it because you want a darker-looking Janna. For a more substantial change of theme, Hextech offers technology and Frost Queen offers winter without moving into the ornate gowns at the top.

Before choosing your next Janna skin

Use Sacred Sword as the fantasy benchmark and Forecast as the personality benchmark. If neither is your style, the rest of the ranking becomes easier: Bewitching for the cat and broom comedy, Heavenscale for ornate mythology, Crystal Rose for floral protection effects, or Cyber Halo for machinery.

In a current preview, watch the tornado, shield, and full Monsoon sequence, then the recall and moving model. Listen separately if you are considering Forecast: liking a joke in a screenshot is different from wanting its voice-over throughout a match. For the older skins, make sure the footage includes the 2022 VFX update.

Finally, check the exact skin and current acquisition offer in the client. Prestige Cyber Halo is separate from the regular skin and its chromas. Dawnbringer’s old pass and Victorious’s old ranked requirement are not current unlock instructions. Pick the design you want to use, then confirm there is a legitimate way to obtain that specific version before spending.
