An Azir skin lives or dies on a unit the player does not move with right-clicks. Arise! places a soldier. Azir’s basic attack command then becomes that soldier’s spear thrust, often repeated hundreds of times before the nexus falls. Conquering Sands moves the entire formation. Shifting Sands pulls the emperor toward one soldier. Emperor’s Divide turns a row of new soldiers into the largest visual statement in the kit.
That makes the model only half the purchase. A magnificent emperor can still feel ordinary if the summoned army has a weak silhouette, a flat attack impact, or an ultimate wall that forgets the skin’s premise.
Attorney Azir is the best Azir skin in 2026. Its suited assistants, paper trails, legal emblems, crisp attack accents, and courtroom wall convert every part of Azir’s command loop without sacrificing the idea that he controls an army. Worlds 2022 is the best serious modern alternative, Elderwood has the strongest transformation of the soldiers themselves, and Warring Kingdoms remains the best classic Legacy skin.
This ranking judges cosmetic craft and repeated comfort. No skin changes soldier range, attack timing, Q speed, E distance, shield strength, collision, ultimate width, damage, or hitboxes. A color or sound may be more comfortable for one player, but that preference is not a competitive advantage.

Catalog note: Riot Data Dragon 16.17.1 contains 28 Azir cosmetic records. That total is one base entry, seven non-base parent skins, and 20 chroma child records. All seven parents are ranked below. Chromas are color variants, not separate skins.
The soldier thrust matters more than the recall
Azir has one of League’s most misleading skin previews. The turnaround shows the emperor. The recall gives him a stage. Neither represents the action that fills lane: summon a soldier, position outside ordinary basic-attack range, and order that soldier to stab through a target line.
The current Riot tooltips create seven practical review points:
- Soldier identity: Arise! needs a soldier that belongs to the emperor while remaining distinct from Azir’s own model and from a group of overlapping summons.
- Attack feedback: Soldier attacks replace Azir’s ordinary basic attack against nearby targets. The thrust, contact, and repeated sound carry more weight than one elaborate recall.
- Q reposition: Conquering Sands sends all soldiers toward a location, damaging and slowing enemies they pass through. The formation should look connected while several units cross and settle.
- E shield and dash: Shifting Sands briefly shields Azir and dashes him to one soldier. A good skin connects the shield, route, arrival, and soldier without turning the motion into unrelated particles.
- R wall impact: Emperor’s Divide summons a wall of soldiers that charges, damages, and knocks enemies back. This is the payoff shot, but it still needs to use the same army introduced by W.
- Passive monument: Shurima’s Legacy raises a Disc of the Sun from a turret ruin. It appears less often than W or Q, yet it reveals whether the skin can redesign Azir’s empire at architectural scale.
- Model, recall, audio, value, and access: The emperor still needs a strong silhouette, but price and acquisition route must match the amount of new work.
The famous Azir shuffle makes the relationship easier to see. A soldier is placed, E starts the dash, Q relocates the destination during movement, and R sends the enemy team back across the wall. Cosmetics do not alter that sequence. They do decide whether the eye and ear receive one coherent command or four disconnected effects.
Patch 26.17 is the gameplay boundary for this review. Azir’s newest parent skin remains Attorney, released with Patch 14.18 on September 11, 2024. The catalog has no Prestige, Mythic, or Battle Pass parent skin for Azir as of Data Dragon 16.17.1.

1. Attorney Azir objects to every ordinary soldier skin

Attorney Azir could have stopped at the suit. The bird emperor in a fitted jacket, carrying legal papers and interrupting every statement with an objection, is already an effective Day Job joke. The skin ranks first because Riot kept writing after the splash.
Arise! summons suited assistants rather than recolored sand soldiers. Their pale clothes and red details separate them from Azir’s darker blue-violet suit, which matters when two or three soldiers stand close enough for their models to overlap. The long attack line still belongs to Azir, but the spear thrust now resembles a document being delivered with unreasonable force. Paper-like trails and bright legal marks give the repeated hit a quick end point instead of leaving a cloud around every minion.
Conquering Sands is the strongest proof of the premise. Multiple assistants move together as if the emperor has reassigned the entire legal team. The travel line uses clean gold-white accents, and the formation settles without losing the individual bodies. An elaborate particle ribbon would have buried the best joke, so the relatively controlled trail is the right choice.
Shifting Sands combines a rounded gold-violet shield with the same documents and emblems used elsewhere. The dash reads as Azir joining one member of his team, not teleporting into a second skin theme. The arrival has enough impact to support an aggressive shuffle, while the brief shield remains visible around the model during ordinary repositioning. That is an artistic continuity judgment, not a claim that the shield is easier to use.
Emperor’s Divide turns the assistants into a courtroom line. They advance shoulder to shoulder, carrying the legal fiction all the way to the knockback. Several Azir skins have a beautiful R because a soldier wall naturally looks grand. Attorney has the best R because the wall is also the conclusion of a joke established by W. The passive monument adds a legal crest and formal structure to the Disc of the Sun, so even the temporary tower appears to have jurisdiction.
The audio profile is crisp and percussive. Soldier attacks land with short accents rather than the heavy ghostly resonance of Gravelord or the crystalline tournament tone of Worlds 2022. Papers, seals, and command effects add novelty, but they do not stretch every auto into a long sound. That restraint helps a comedy skin survive repeated lane use.
Attorney is still built on Azir’s existing character animation foundation. It is an Epic, not a Legendary, and it does not replace the full voice performance. The concept also demands a taste for intentional silliness. Someone who wants an emperor rather than a lawyer should buy Worlds 2022 or Warring Kingdoms.
For Attorney, the secondary catalog records 1,350 RP, new effects, animations, recall, and eight chromas. The Ruby chroma has a historical bundle-exclusive label, Emerald has a Partner Program record, and the remaining palette routes should be checked in the live client. Those chromas do not add eight ranks. They recolor one excellent parent package.
2. Worlds 2022 makes every soldier attack feel ceremonial

Worlds 2022 is the cleanest answer for a player who likes Attorney’s modern production but wants the emperor to remain serious. Its blue, silver, and dark metallic materials give Azir a broad tournament silhouette. The soldiers resemble disciplined ceremonial guards rather than copies of the champion, and their bright spear edges make each thrust feel deliberate.
That attack loop is the main attraction. The contact has a compact crystalline snap, followed by enough blue light to register the hit without leaving a long glow on the line. Azir spends too much time issuing soldier attacks for every one to sound like an ultimate. Worlds finds the useful middle: sharper than base, calmer than a constant celebration.
Q moves the formation with converging blue lines and prismatic edges. Several soldiers still read as a coordinated group when they cross. E wraps Azir in a geometric shield and gives the dash a narrow tournament trail, preserving a visible connection to the target soldier. The materials agree even when the sequence happens quickly: crystal, steel, blue light, arrival.
Emperor’s Divide is the skin’s signature frame. A row of large shield-bearing soldiers charges forward, producing a wall that looks like an esports trophy display learned how to fight. The shield faces are repeated clearly across the line, so the wall has mass without needing a dense storm of particles. The passive turret continues the same polished architecture and blue core.
The weaknesses come from the line itself. Worlds cosmetics often use dark metal, blue crystal, and clean broadcast-ready light. Azir executes that language well, but it is less personal than Elderwood’s druid army or Attorney’s legal staff. The recall and presentation celebrate the event more than they reveal a new side of Azir.
Riot’s Patch 12.18 notes placed Worlds 2022 Azir on September 22, 2022. The current secondary catalog labels the parent Legacy with a historical 1,350 RP price and four chromas. One & Only has a historical Mythic Shop record, while Tanzanite carries a past bundle label. Neither field proves that the parent or chroma is available in the live client today.
Worlds 2022 ranks second because it has the best serious repeated attack package. Attorney wins on transformation and complete premise. Worlds is the better choice when every summon should look like part of a final rather than a legal farce.
3. Elderwood grows an army instead of repainting one

Elderwood asks the best design question in the catalog: what if Azir stopped commanding soldiers made by civilization? The answer is an army grown from bark, antlers, blossoms, roots, and violet forest magic.
The soldiers carry most of the transformation. Their branch-like bodies and broad organic shapes separate them from Azir’s narrower druid-king silhouette. When one soldier attacks, the motion feels like a wooden guardian extending through the target line. When several attack from nearby positions, the units still look like members of one grove rather than identical spectral humans.
Conquering Sands produces a purple trail with leaf and root accents. The formation moves like enchanted growth being dragged across the ground, which makes Q feel less military than Worlds 2022 without losing direction. The most successful detail arrives after movement: the soldiers settle as physical wooden bodies, not particle projections. Their presence matters because Azir may leave them standing while he repositions.
Shifting Sands uses a layered violet shield and a dark organic route. The shield looks grown around Azir, while the dash draws him back to the same wood-and-magic source as the soldier. The arrival is slightly busier than Worlds 2022, especially when Q and E overlap during a shuffle. Players who prefer thin lines may find the purple bloom excessive. The effect density does not change the dash or collision.
Emperor’s Divide advances a row of forest sentinels with heavy carved faces. Their shared wall resembles a living barricade. It is not as immediately funny as Attorney or as geometrically clean as Worlds, but it carries more creature identity than either. The ultimate looks like Elderwood terrain invading the lane.
The passive is the reason Elderwood stays above Warring Kingdoms. Shurima’s Legacy becomes a large ancient tree monument with violet energy and a crown-like canopy. The tower does not merely adopt the soldier palette. It shows what an Elderwood empire would build in place of sandstone. Riot rarely gets a chance to redesign a skin at structure scale, and this one uses it.
The audio leans hollow and organic, with softer magical resonance around attacks and deeper growth sounds on the large effects. That texture supports the wood bodies, though it gives soldier stabs less metallic bite than Worlds 2022. A player who times attacks by a sharp contact may prefer the runner-up.
Elderwood’s current secondary record lists 1,350 RP, new effects, animations, recall, and eight chromas. Riot’s Patch 10.25 notes confirm the parent and chromas in that release. Emberwood has a historical Mythic Shop record, Emerald a Partner Program record, and Ruby a bundle record. Those are chroma routes, not Mythic parent skins and not current inventory promises.
4. Warring Kingdoms still gives Azir his best old throne

Warring Kingdoms is the classic that understands why Azir was attractive before anyone learned the shuffle. He is an emperor who raises an army, controls space through formations, and pushes opponents away with a wall of loyal soldiers. The Lunar Revel setting changes the dynasty without changing the job.
The model remains one of Azir’s strongest. White plumage, red cloth, jade-green armor, and a bladed staff create a readable imperial silhouette without the bulky crystal shoulders of Worlds 2022. The spectral soldiers use green and gold accents that match the ruler while keeping their own pale bodies. A single summoned unit looks like a warrior from the same court. A group looks like an army, not a row of VFX markers.
Soldier attacks carry a clean metallic thrust with a small spectral tail. The feedback is older and less layered than Attorney or Worlds, but it gets out of the way quickly. Q sends the soldiers through a narrow gold-green path. E adds a jade shield and a controlled sweep toward the unit. None of the effects tries to make a routine reposition feel larger than the ultimate.
Emperor’s Divide gives the classic its best argument. The soldiers appear in ornate armor and advance as a ceremonial battle line. The repeated figures have more individual decoration than base, yet the wall remains one unified object. A full shuffle ends with the ruler behind his own dynasty, exactly where the fantasy wants him.
The passive turret supports the palette without matching Elderwood’s full architectural reinvention. The recall also belongs to an older Epic standard. Its presentation is tailored, but the champion’s rig and voice carry the performance. Warring Kingdoms feels polished because the materials are chosen well, not because it has the newest animation budget.
Access is the larger limitation. The current secondary catalog labels Warring Kingdoms Legacy with a historical 1,350 RP record and a January 19, 2017 release. Lunar Revel returns do not establish a permanent annual schedule, and a Legacy label does not guarantee a current vault, loot, Your Shop, or regional offer.
Fourth place reflects age and access, not a failed theme. Warring Kingdoms is still the best Azir skin for someone who wants an emperor first, a skin-line spectacle second, and a short soldier contact that remains comfortable over a long match.
5. Gravelord gives every command the weight of a funeral march

Gravelord takes Azir’s promise of an army literally and removes the living part. The emperor becomes an armored servant of death. Soldiers rise as undead guards. Emperor’s Divide stops looking like a royal formation and starts looking like a crypt opened across the lane.
The concept fits W better than it first appears. Sand soldiers already materialize, stand without ordinary pathing, attack on command, and disappear when their work ends. Gravelord reframes that behavior as necromancy. The units have long dark bodies and green spectral centers, with enough contrast to distinguish the spear and attack direction. Their repeated thrust lands with a heavier, hollower effect than the four skins above.
That sound profile is the main reason to preview Gravelord before buying. The voice filter, soldier contact, and ghostly spell resonance make every command feel substantial. They can also make lane more oppressive to the ear. Azir repeats W attacks far more often than R, so a deep spectral impact that feels excellent in a two-minute spotlight may be too much across several games. That is a comfort issue, not a gameplay flaw.
Q drags the undead formation through a green trail with dark smoke around the bodies. E wraps Azir in a spectral shield and sends him through the same death magic. The sequence is cohesive, though the dark emperor, dark soldiers, and green effects can blend into one mood. Elderwood uses similar purple-green territory with more material variety.
R is excellent. A row of undead soldiers advances like tomb guardians, with green flame and shadow giving the wall depth. The passive turret becomes a death monument rather than a solar one. Both large effects finish the idea established by the ordinary W unit.
Gravelord released December 1, 2015. The current secondary record labels it Available at 1,350 RP with new effects, animations, recall, and a voice filter. Live regional price and inventory should still be checked before purchase. It ranks fifth because the soldier army and audio are memorable, while the model age and relentless darkness make it less flexible than the leaders.
6. SKT T1 Azir carries a champion’s signature, not a new empire

SKT T1 Azir has a job no ordinary theme can perform. It honors Easyhoon’s Azir during SK Telecom T1’s 2015 World Championship victory. The skin is therefore part cosmetic and part match history. Ranking it only by particle density would miss why it exists.
The team palette gives Azir a dark blue-black body with bright blue, white, and red accents. Soldiers follow the same broadcast-friendly materials, and their attacks use a short blue contact. Q moves them with a direct team-colored trail. E adds a compact shield rather than a large thematic transformation. R produces a disciplined line with repeated blue faces and team details.
The recall is the centerpiece. Championship skins traditionally give players and team identity space that an ordinary alternate universe would spend on lore. SKT T1 uses that moment well, but the emphasis creates an uneven kit. The recall is specific to this roster and victory. The soldier loop is a capable team recolor with custom effects rather than a separate explanation of what Azir’s army has become.
That does not make the attacks poor. Their shorter, cleaner audio may be preferable to Gravelord’s constant spectral weight. The emperor model also has enough team uniform detail to avoid looking like base Azir dipped in blue. The limitation appears during the passive and ultimate, where the broader empire remains closer to Azir’s familiar structure than Elderwood or Attorney.
The current secondary catalog labels SKT T1 Legacy, loot eligible, and historically priced at 975 RP. Its release record is August 17, 2016. World Championship celebrations and esports vaults can create access windows, but none should be assumed on August 31, 2026.
Sixth place separates respect from purchasing advice. For an Easyhoon, SKT, or championship-skin collection, this may be the only Azir cosmetic that matters. For a first Azir skin chosen around soldier identity, Q motion, E connection, and R wall payoff, the five above make stronger use of the full kit.
7. Galactic Azir shows how far the army has evolved

Galactic Azir is the difficult last place. It launched with the champion on September 15, 2014, yet its current secondary feature record lists new effects, animations, and recall at 975 RP. That is generous scope for the price tier. The dark armor, long cyan-violet blades, and luminous face give Azir a convincing ruler-from-space silhouette.
The soldiers use matching black metal and purple energy. Their spears are clear extensions of the model, and Q leaves a cosmic trail as the formation moves. E wraps Azir in a violet shield before he joins the soldier. R advances a row of angular space guards with bright centers. Every required object has received attention.
The problem is depth, not completeness. The particle shapes come from an earlier League era. The soldier attack has a thinner impact and less material change than Worlds 2022. Q moves the units without the paper logic of Attorney or the living-body motion of Elderwood. The passive becomes a cosmic turret, but the structure relies on color and ornament more than a new architectural premise.
Galactic can still be the right value pick. Its repeated sounds are lighter than Gravelord, its model is more ambitious than a simple costume, and the ordinary secondary Available label is easier to act on than a Legacy esports skin. Someone who dislikes comic skins and does not want to spend 1,350 RP may prefer its restraint.
It finishes seventh because Azir’s small catalog is unusually consistent. There is no 520 RP recolor or abandoned model at the bottom. Galactic loses narrow comparisons: Attorney has the stronger complete conversion, Worlds the stronger attack feedback, Elderwood the stronger soldier bodies, Warring Kingdoms the stronger imperial fit, Gravelord the stronger audio character, and SKT T1 the stronger historical identity.
Last place here means a good early skin surrounded by more specific armies.
Azir has no Prestige or Mythic parent skin to chase
The catalog needs a clear separation between skins and chromas. Data Dragon 16.17.1 contains eight parent records including base Azir. CommunityDragon independently lists those same eight parents and nests 20 chromas under Elderwood, Worlds 2022, and Attorney.
- Elderwood Azir has eight chromas. Emberwood has a historical Mythic Shop distribution record, Emerald has a Partner Program record, and Ruby has a bundle record.
- Worlds 2022 Azir has four chromas. One & Only has a historical Mythic Shop record, and Tanzanite has a bundle record.
- Attorney Azir has eight chromas. Emerald has a Partner Program record, and Ruby has a bundle record.
Those Mythic Shop labels describe chroma history. They do not create a Mythic Azir parent skin. Among the seven non-base parents, CommunityDragon labels Gravelord, Warring Kingdoms, Elderwood, Worlds 2022, and Attorney kEpic; Galactic and SKT T1 are kNoRarity; none is kMythic. There is also no Prestige parent and no Battle Pass parent in the current Data Dragon list.
The three Legacy parents are SKT T1, Warring Kingdoms, and Worlds 2022 in the current secondary catalog. Legacy does not mean Limited, unobtainable forever, or guaranteed to return. It means the ordinary permanent purchase assumption is unsafe. Check the live client for the exact account, region, event, vault, loot, Your Shop, bundle, and Mythic Shop state before spending resources.
Which Azir skin should you buy?
Start with the sound you want to repeat, then choose the army.
- Attorney Azir is the best complete recommendation. It changes the soldiers, attack accents, Q travel, E presentation, R wall, passive monument, model, and recall around one legal joke.
- Worlds 2022 Azir is the serious modern option. Choose it for crisp soldier attacks, blue crystal materials, and a shield-wall ultimate, then verify its Legacy access.
- Elderwood Azir is the strongest creature conversion. Pick it when the soldiers themselves should feel least human and the passive turret should become a new monument.
- Warring Kingdoms Azir is the classic emperor. Its model and wall still work beautifully, but the Legacy route makes it a watch-list item rather than a permanent shelf assumption.
- Gravelord Azir is the dark-audio specialist. Preview the filtered voice and repeated undead thrust before deciding whether the weight is satisfying or tiring.
- SKT T1 Azir is for the championship story. The 975 RP historical record is attractive, but the Legacy route and event identity matter more than a generic value score.
- Galactic Azir is the ordinary lower-price option in the current secondary catalog. It gives every major spell a cosmic treatment, even if the finish is visibly older.
The right preview should include at least thirty seconds of soldier attacks, two multi-soldier Q casts, E with and without a Q continuation, the full R wall, and the passive turret. A recall-only clip hides the actions that determine whether an Azir skin remains comfortable.
Frequently asked questions about Azir skins
What is the best Azir skin in 2026?
Attorney Azir is the best overall skin on Patch 26.17. Its legal assistants replace the sand-soldier fantasy, while paper trails, gold-violet shields, courtroom symbols, Emperor’s Divide, and the passive monument continue the same premise. Worlds 2022 is the better serious alternative.
How many Azir skins are there?
Azir has seven non-base parent skins in Data Dragon 16.17.1. The same catalog contains one base entry and 20 chroma children, producing 28 cosmetic records in total. Chromas are not counted as separate skins in this ranking.
Which Azir skin has the best soldiers?
Attorney has the best complete soldier concept because the suited assistants support W attacks, Q movement, and R as one legal team. Elderwood has the best non-human soldier bodies, while Worlds 2022 has the cleanest serious attack feedback.
Which Azir skin has the best Emperor’s Divide?
Worlds 2022 has the strongest serious wall: large shield-bearing guards advance as one blue crystalline formation. Attorney has the most creative wall because the legal team completes the skin’s joke. Elderwood is best when the wall should feel like living terrain.
Is Warring Kingdoms Azir still worth it?
Yes, if it appears through a legitimate live-client route and the player wants a traditional imperial fantasy. The soldier thrust remains comfortable, the model is distinct, and R forms an ornate spectral battle line. Its Legacy label and older production keep it below the modern top three.
Does Azir have a Prestige skin?
No current Azir parent record is Prestige or Mythic in Data Dragon 16.17.1 and CommunityDragon 16.17. Elderwood Emberwood and Worlds 2022 One & Only have historical Mythic Shop chroma records, but they remain chromas under ordinary parent skins.
Do any Azir skins change soldier attacks or the shuffle?
They change model, particles, animation presentation, and sound. They do not change soldier range, attack timing, damage, Q movement, E dash behavior, shield value, R width, collision, or hitboxes. The shuffle follows the same inputs and rules on every cosmetic.
The emperor is only as good as the army he repeats
Attorney Azir wins by noticing what the champion actually does between highlights. The assistants have to stand in lane, stab minions, cross during Q, receive the emperor during E, form the wall during R, and belong beside the passive monument. The suit and recall are bonuses after that work is finished.
Worlds 2022, Elderwood, and Warring Kingdoms offer better answers for players who want ceremony, living wood, or a traditional dynasty. The order can change with taste in sound and access. The review standard should not: summon one soldier, issue the next hundred attacks, and judge the empire from there.
